In Singapore, 2016

Singapore Changi Airport by ANA from Haneda Airport. This was my second visit to Singapore to see Gardens by the Bay. I went to Gardens by the Bay both during the day and at night, but I couldn’t take good pictures at night. It was hot and I was sweating the whole time I was there. The food was all good. Raffles Hotel was quaint.

羽田空港からANAでシンガポール・チャンギ空港。ガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイを見るために2回目のシンガポールへ。ガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイは昼も夜行ったが、夜の写真がうまく撮れなかった。滞在中暑くてずっと汗をかいてた。食べ物はどれも美味しかった。ラッフルズホテルは趣があった。

It is interesting to think about designing a botanical garden with a population.

植物園をデザインするのに、この発想にたどりつくかなあ。

It is interesting to find a way to take advantage of the height.

There is also a very large scale greenhouse botanical garden.

とても大きな規模の温室植物園もある。

It looks like a theme park botanical garden.

まるでテーマパークのよう。

It feels good to be surrounded by so much greenery. Even if it is artificial.

たくさんの緑に囲まれると、たとえこれが人工だとしても気持ちがいい。

I have a strange feeling. Not bad.

不思議な感覚、悪くない。

Perhaps many of the plants are varieties I don’t usually see very often. They are from warmer regions. I am not used to seeing them.

多くの植物はあまり目にすることのない品種(暖かい地域の植物かな)なのも、不思議な気持ちになる理由のような気がする。

I was afraid to look directly down, so I used a GoPro.

Located right next to Marina Bay Sands.

場所はマリーナ・ベイ・サンズのすぐそば。

The balcony of Marina Bay Sands is also filled with plants.

Large trees provide shade.

大きな木が日陰をくれる。あついあつい。

Even while waiting for a traffic light, I would look for shade.

信号待ちでさえ、日陰を探してる。あつすぎる。

Good at finding shade.

みんな日陰探しがうまい。

A place like a local-like food court. Delicious and reasonably priced, I went out there every day.

ローカルっぽいフードコートのような場所が、美味しくてリーズナブルで毎日のように出かけた。

The bak kut teh was also delicious and I went twice during my stay.

バクテーも美味しくて2回行った。

They are all delicious. I like the seasoning.

どれも美味しい、味付けが好み。

I also went to the traditional Raffles Hotel.

伝統のあるラッフルズホテルも見に行った。

The building and the creation of the space are cozy.

建物と空間がなんだか居心地良い。

I felt that the design was like a royal road.

王道でずっしりしてる感じが良い。

It is somewhat similar to the atmosphere of Ryukyu.

どことなく感じる琉球感。

What kind of people choose this hotel?

どんな人達にこのホテルは選ばれてるのだろうか。

Long-established bar in the hotel. Too atmospheric to enter.

ホテルの老舗バー。入れるような人間になったら入ろう。

Changi Airport is also full of plants.

チャンギ空港も植物でいっぱい。

It was a huge terminal airport with many facilities that would keep children busy.

子どもたちを飽きさせない施設もたくさんあり(ゲームもたくさん)、巨大なターミナル空港だった。
